Players Weekly Schedule

In the current circumstances this is a great opportunity for players to stay on top of all aspects of their game.
Check out our sample schedules for players depending on their age/ability level.
Please not these are only a guide as everyone’s circumstances are different.
Most important thing is players get a starting point and then aim to improve on their workload.

FUNdamental Phase (4-7 year olds)

This phase main focus should be on:
1. FUN
2. Multi Sport Activities (including a range of skills including Agility, Balalnce, Coordination, Running. Jumping, Throwing, Catching, Kicking, Striking, and all movement techniques)
3. Play

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Individual Technical Sessions
Ball Mastery 1: Master 5 skills per week

FUNdamental Movement Skills/Multi Sport Activities (see Player Training Zone for session ideas)
– Use skills from this section in the Players Training Zone or design your own
– 30-60min per day
– Unlimited Free Play

Skill Challenges Beginner
– Focus on 2 Skills Challenges per week (eg. Week 1: Skills Challenges 1 & 2)

Foundation Phase (8-12 year olds)

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Flexibility & Mobility
Lower Body 4-5 times per week

Strength and Conditioning
– 3 sessions per week

Ball Mastery
– Complete Ball Mastery 1 (20 reps of each skill). When comfortable with all these skills move on to Ball Mastery 2.

Technical Sessions (Individual or Partner)
– Complete 2-3 sessions per week (players choice, use a variety each week to cover all topics)
– GK’s should refer to GK Training Zone

Fitness
– 2 x 2km runs per week (these should be timed and aim to improve time each week)

Skills Challenges Advanced
– Master 2 Skill Challenges per week

Youth Development Phase (12-16 years old)

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Flexibility & Mobility
Lower Body 4-5 times per week

Strength and Conditioning
– 3 sessions per week

Ball Mastery
– Complete Ball Mastery 1 (20 reps of each skill). When comfortable with all these skills move on to Ball Mastery 2.
