Saturday 10 th and Sunday 11 th August
Tournament Rules
● 7 & 9-a-side will use throw-ins
● 5-a-side played in cages so no throw-ins needed
● 5 & 7-a-side will not use offside rule
● 9-a-side will use offside rule
● 5-a-side the GK can pick up a back pass
● 7 & 9-a-side the GK can not pick up a back pass
● All age groups will use rolling subs
● In the event that teams are tied on points in the group positioning will be
decided by goal difference, then goals scored, then head to head.
● If positioning can still not be decided then it will go to the toss of a coin
● Any knockout games that finish in a draw will be decided by 3 penalty kicks
from each team, followed by sudden death, if needed.
Tournament Format
5-a-side
● Matches to be played in the 3G 5-a-side cages 1,2,3,4,5 & 6
● All games are 7min straight with 3min break between each game
● Coordinator will start and end games with a whistle.
● Coaches referee the game from the side
● If a team goes 3 goals in front the other team should add a 6th player
● No scores kept and no trophies to play for
● All participants receive a medal
7 & 9-a-side
● 2011 & 2010 Advanced to be played on 3G 7-a-side
● 2011 & 2010 Development to be played on Grass 7-a-side
● All 2009 & 2008 to be played on Grass 9-a-side
● All matches are 15min straight
● Referee provided
● Medals for winners and runner ups. Trophy for winning teams
Each club is required to have their own insurance to cover any injuries sustained during the tournament. Every person attending the event, whether a player, coach, team official or individual, does so at their own risk. The organising committee will not accept responsibility for any loss, injury or death of any player, coach, club official, individual taking part or involved in the tournament or any person attending the tournament.
